FIFA 16 Share Team of the Week Features Gerard

Video game developer EA Sports is ready to deliver another Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode of FIFA 15, allowing gamers to get access to some solid players that can upgrade their own starting elevens.

As in the past few weeks, the number of huge stars is relatively limited by the fact that the big championships of Europe are at the moment in their summer break, with the studio working hard to implement all transfers in the game as soon as possible.

The attacking line of the new Team of the Week is made up of Arzuaga, Shatov and Cavenaghi, all unsurprising players. In midfield, FIFA 15 players can count on some solid help: Steven Gerard, who is now playing in the Major League Soccer and is rated at 83, as well as Ayala, Furman, and Alex Teixeira.

The back line is made up of three players: Srna, Orozco and Shishkin.

The goalkeeper of the Team of the Week is Guilherme. FIFA 15 fans can also pick up seven substitutes that will probably add little overall new value to their own teams.

FIFA 16 will deliver Ultimate Team details before the start of Gamescom

The development team at EA Sports has suggested that it will deliver more information about the most popular game mode before the start of the gaming event in Cologne, Germany. A first look at an item for Ultimate Team in FIFA 16 has been shown during the presentation of the newly announced partnership with Real Madrid.

The coming simulation is designed to use the power of current-gen consoles to deliver an improved set of mechanics and visuals. Gamers will have more options on the defensive, including more ways to use their entire team to stop an attack, and new ways to deliver killer passes to their teammates.

All players can now use a new no touch dribbling technique that is inspired by the moves of Lionel Messi and there are new ways to deliver shots on goal. FIFA 16 will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony on September 22 in the United States and two days later in Europe.

For older consoles, the company is planning to deliver Legacy versions.

FIFA 16: Game Offer Pre-Order Incentives

When games are released around the world and offer different promotions on pre-orders there are many different versions available from retailers. Today an interesting difference between offers offered by GAME has come to light.

When games are released around the world and offer different promotions on pre-orders there are many different versions available from retailers. Today an interesting difference between offers offered by GAME has come to light.

Looking at the UK pre-order FIFA 16 Career Mode(based on the no frills version of the game) you'll see that the incentives are 15 Ultimate Team Gold packs over 15 weeks, and a new "KO" celebration. This is fine, and a nice way to catch the eye of anybody looking to take up an interesting offer. When looking at the Spanish GAME site though, this is where things get a little different.

FIFA 16 Pre-Order 1

Looking at the Spanish FIFA 16 League you'll notice the exact same deal but with a difference, they also get the "Robot" celebration. This does raise a question as to why the offer is different. Also should it really matter? The Ultimate Team packs are arguably the real incentive here, but celebrations also matter to some players especially when they are celebrating their goals.

FIFA 16 Pre-Order 2

FIFA 16 is the latest version of the popular football game, and will be the first to include women players, in celebration of this year's World Cup in Canada. Offering new gameplay enhancement it will also have competition in the form of the latest PES game, which is once again growing in popularity.

With the issue of pre-ordering, and the quality of the released games some people are beginning to be reluctant to put money into getting early releases. EA Sports have been dependable in this area, especially with big releases like this so they are probably confident that many will be looking to put their money into the game early.

Would different pre-order incentives affect your version you buy? Moreover, does seeing a company offering a different deal to other countries make you think again on the worth of paying money early? Let us know your thoughts below.

Fourteen Real Madrid Players Head Will be Updated With FIFA 16

EA Sports has made a surprising announcement on social media confirming a three year partnership with Spanish giants, Real Madrid. The new partnership will include updated head scans of fourteen Real Madrid players in FIFA 16 Card , including Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodríguez and Karim Benzema.
Bellow you can watch Los Blancos scanning session including behind the scenes photos and images of updated player models in FIFA 16 plus a nice infographic of Real Madrid in FIFA 15:

If you paid a bit of attention you’ll have noticed that EA Sports have widely used Liga BBVA’s logo in the video and the infographic like advertising something with Transfer coins to FIFA 16. Maybe there will be a special Liga BBVA announcement in the near future?

Elated icons and fond farewells with FIFA 16

In FIFA.com's latest round-up of the week's standout stats, the passing of Alcides Ghiggia and retirement of Celia Sasic feature alongside goals and glory for Messrs Dempsey, Gerrard, Keane, Madjer and Alan.

116 international appearances without a hat-trick was the run that came to an end for Clint Dempsey on Saturday. FIFA 16 Card. The 32-year-old finally scored his first international treble at the 117th time of asking to inspire USA's 6-0 drubbing of Cuba in the CONCACAF Gold Cup quarter-finals.
Dempsey now has six goals at the tournament, twice as many as his nearest challengers for the golden boot, having become just the fourth US player - after Brian McBrideLandon Donovan and Chris Wondolowski - to score a Gold Cup hat-trick. His goals helped the Stars and Stripes maintain their dominance in this particular fixture, racking up an eighth successive win over Cuba in a run that dates back to September 1949.
78 was the combined age at which beach soccer stalwarts Alan and Madjer finally got their hands on a world title on Sunday. Both Portugal stars were again among the end of tournament award winners at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, with Madjer taking his remarkable tally of individual honours to eight (two adidas Golden Balls, one Bronze Ball, three Golden Scorer and two Silver Scorer awards).
His latest honours were earned by an impressive eight-goal haul over the course of the latest edition, boosting to 85 the veteran's already tournament-record tally. But the only prize that concerned both him and Alan was the one that had consistently eluded them, most heartbreakingly in a final defeat to France ten years earlier. The sight of both stalwarts clutching the Beach Soccer World Cup trophy proved that good things do indeed come to those who wait.
65 years to the day of the legendary Maracanazo, the game's match-winner and last surviving participant passed away on Thursday. Uruguay legend Alcides Ghiggia, 88, was famous across the globe for the goal that broke Brazilian hearts at the 1950 FIFA World Cup, silencing a 200,000 Maracana crowd and securing the Trophy for La Celeste.
But he was also the first player to score in every match in every round of a World Cup, and remains one of only three - the others being Just Fontaine and Jairzinho - to have achieved this feat. As it happened, those four strikes at Brazil 1950 were the only goals he ever scored for Uruguay, although he also found the net once for Italy's national team, having gone on to represent Gli Azzurri on five occasions.
27 was the age at which Celia Sasic made the shock announcement last week that she was retiring from football. The Germany striker bowed out at the peak of her powers, and fresh from finishing top scorer in the FIFA Women's World Cup (6 goals), Frauen-Bundesliga (21) and UEFA Women's Champions League (14). That Champions League haul equalled the tournament record as Sasic - a double European champion with her national team - propelled Frankfurt towards the continent's top club prize.
These feats ensure that the striker is one of just 12 players shortlisted for the UEFA Best Women’s Player in Europe award, and she retires with her place as a national legend assured. An impressive tally of 63 goals from 111 Germany appearances guarantees that, and has left Sasic at fourth - behind Birgit Prinz, Heidi Mohr and Inka Grings - in the team's list of all-time leading scorers.
1 defeat in 28 is the imposing home record that Los Angeles Galaxy bolstered on Sunday with a 5-2 comeback win over San Jose Earthquakes. The Galaxy heroes included debutant Steven Gerrard, who scored, claimed an assist and won a penalty, becoming one of just three players in MLS this year - after Kaka and Sebastian Giovinco - to achieve this particular 'treble'. Another ex-Liverpool player also starred, with Robbie Keane grabbing a hat-trick to move on to nine goals for the season, level with Kaka and just behind David Villa (10), Giovinco (12) and Kei Kamara (14). This also continued the Irishman's fine record in the fixture dubbed the 'Californian Clasico', with Keane having now scored six times in just five appearances against the Earthquakes at the StubHub Center.

'FIFA 16' - Story of former Barcelona prodigy ending up in MLS

We are committed to assembling the best roster that will compete for championships year in and year out, and FIFA 16 News ” were the words of the LA Galaxy president Chris Klein who last week saw Giovani Dos Santos fill his team’s third designated player slot.
4
Currently sidelined with an abductor injury suffered whilst away with Mexico in the Gold Cup, Dos Santos is not due to make his debut for the Galaxy until August, but when he does he will join Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrardn,FIFA 16 Mobile together with head coach Bruce Arena, strives towards achieving his aim of repeated success.
“Giovani is a special player,” said Arena. “He has experience and success competing at the highest level and we believe he will only continue to develop. We are happy to add him to our roster and have confidence he can be an integral part of our success going forward.”
Dos Santos undoubtedly possesses the talent to gratify Arena’s optimism and the 11 goals and 8 assists he managed in La Liga just two seasons ago suggests he will not look out of place alongside Keane and Gerrard.
Of course, that is if he produces the form he is widely known to be capable of on a regular basis. Too often Dos Santos has been the underwhelming anti-climactic winger who followed up that excellent year for Villarreal with just one goal and three assists from 27 games last season.
From being named the world’s 5th most exciting player by World Soccer Magazine after breaking into the Barcelona senior team in 2007 to make his debut aged 18, now to the MLS via loan spells at Galatasaray and Ipswich Town, Dos Santos has failed to settle in anywhere since switching to Spurs in 2008 and his talent has suffered for it.
Despite enjoying a successful career with Mexico since making his debut 8 years ago, his club career has simply failed to replicate the same success that won him the Gold Cups of 2009 and 2011 with his country, as well as the Olympics with the under 23s in 2012.
He is the holder of 90 caps for El Tri and scorer of the goals that beat USA in the final of the 2011 Gold Cup and threatened to dump Holland out of last year’s World Cup in the last-16 stage.
The new Ronaldinho
A so-called veteran of two World Cups and runner-up for the Young Player of the Tournament award in South Africa in 2010, Dos Santos’s tales of his time with the national team will be full of fulfilment and content. At club level, however, the 26-year-old just hasn’t managed to find his way since being billed as the “new Ronaldinho.”
Maybe the sizeable task of living up to that name of having the tag of being a graduate from Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy is the main factor behind the Mexican’s failure to realise his true potential at club level, or rather it could be the misfortunate timing with his managers.
Frank Rijkaard, who integrated Dos Santos into Barca’s senior team as a teenager in 2007/08, a season that ended with a hat-trick in the 5-3 win over Real Murcia, was that summer replaced by Pep Guardiola who immediately sold the winger to Tottenham.
Juande Ramos was the Spurs coach who brought Dos Santos to White Hart Lane and by that October he was fired and in came Harry Redknapp who the Mexican said stymied his progress in London. “It was very frustrating for me because, like every footballer, I just wanted to play. I’d prepare for a game every three days, then not play.”
Dos Santos started just 11 games for Spurs, mainly in the cups as he failed to make a single start in league competition, and four years later, after unsuccessful loans to Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander, he signed for Mallorca. Despite relegation, he finished top scorer with six goals and racked up seven assists, attracting newly promoted Villarreal.
His first season with the Yellow Submarine on top of his year with Mallorca hinted at a resurgence in form but his second year, spent with his brother Jonathon after he followed suit by moving from Barcelona, duly stamped that. Now, La Galaxy have offered Dos Santos the chance to turn his career around in the Americas.
Finally landing their man
Galaxy have chased Dos Santos for the past four years but have previously been restricted by the MLS guidelines that limit teams to three designated players. A change in the rules this summer allowed a down payment to be made on the contract of Omar Gonzalez, which then freed up one of the DP spots for Dos Santos.
The Mexican will add pace, flashy technique and the benefit, unlike Keane and Gerrard, of having yet to reach the peak of his talents at 26. It is also hoped that his arrival will gain the team more followers from southern California’s Mexican American community, in which it currently enjoys little presence.
“He has the individual flair that sometimes we lack in the final third of the field,” Arena said. “His running off the ball’s good. He can go by people. He has an excellent first touch. He’s a finisher.
